	Pascal Maimon has plenty of African experience, knowing the various tracks and trails well, but also having excellent mechanical knowledge. After a number of years with Citroën and then with Peugeot Talbot Sport, this exceptional co-driver and mechanic has most notably taken part in the development program for the phenomenal 205 and 405 T16 Grand Raid cars. Three years of collaboration with TSO allowed him to perfect his knowledge of Africa and of its potential pitfalls. In 2001, he reached the top with a second-place finish in the mythical Dakar. This was followed by victory in 2002 with Hiroshi Masuoka. In 2003, Pascal joined the Nissan Rally Raid Team and finished 5th in the Dakar, alongside South African driver Giniel de Villiers. During the recent Rally of Tunisia, he accompanied Spanish driver Marc Blazquez for his first-ever African race, in a privately-entered Nissan Patrol. For the Baja Portugal and Baja Spain, the duo was together again. This time, Pascal will be teaming up with Yves Loubet. He will be able to give considerable support to the Corsican driver, who is taking part in the event for the first time with a Superproduction vehicle.
