Francois Jordaan began his Rally Career as a driver in Swaziland in 1978. From 1980 he was a regular competitor, alternating as a driver and navigator in all aspects of Motor Sport. Apart from being a keen organizer, he also officiated as Clerk of the Course in many successful Rally events. In 1986, a serious motor accident forced Jordaan to retire as a competitive driver. He returned to Rally Sport as a Navigator. In 1989 he joined Roelof Fekken in the Works Toyota for a period of three highly successful years. Subsequent to this, he teamed up with his good friend Leon Botha. They won regularly in Class C and B in a Volkswagen Golf and then with a Nissan Sentra 4x4. In 2000 Francois took up the challenge to navigate for Enzo Kuun in the National Off-Road Series. This was their first year in Off-Road events and the pair finished the year in 3rd place overall in the Class D Championship.In 2001 Jordaan navigated for Giniel de Villiers in the Class T Nissan Hardbody. Against fierce competition, they achieved 3 overall wins and in November were awarded the 2001 SA Off-Road Championship Title for Driver and Co-Driver. In 2002 the pair were plagued with mechanical problems. Nonetheless, they carded 4 wins and ended the year in 4th place in Class.This year Jordaan and de Villiers have achieved two 2nd place finishes as well as a win at the Tarkastad event. Francois joined Giniel at the Dubai Desert Challenge and will race his second Cross Country Rally on the occasion of next Dakar. Apart from Motor Sport, Francois is a keen Golfer with a single figure Handicap. He also enjoys Deep-Sea fishing. He and his wife are keen motorcyclists as well as avid birdwatchers and hikers.

1993 to 1997 Co-driver for Leon Botha. Class C and B winners - Volkswagen Golf and Nissan Sentra 4x4.  
2000 National Off-Road Series. Co-driver for Enzo Kuun - 3rd overall - Class D  
2001 Championship.South Africa Off-Road Championship: Co-driver for Giniel de Villiers
Class T Nissan Hardbody (Pickup) - 3 overall wins and Title for Driver and Co-Driver.
 
2002 South Africa Off-Road Championship: Co-driver for Giniel de Villiers
Class T Nissan Hardbody (Pickup) - 4 overall wins and 4th place in the Championship
 
2003 South Africa Off-Road Championship: Co-driver for Giniel de Villiers
Class T Nissan Hardbody (Pickup) - 1 win and 2 second place overall
