The Sasol Nissan 350Zs of Leeroy Poulter, Gary Formato and Tschops Sipuka finished 4th, 5th and 6th and scored valuable championship points in the short, 8-lap sprint race that got round three of the Bridgestone SA Production Car Championship underway this afternoon.

In an incident-filled 20-lapper (reduced by three laps after the safety car was called out), Formato and Sipuka led the Sasol Nissan challenge with hard-fought for fourth and fifth places. Poulter, passed in turn one on lap 5 by team-mate Formato, pitted from sixth place on lap nine to change a flat tyre. He rejoined the race a lap down and was classified ninth.
Despite his second race disappointment Poulter remains in the lead of both the class A and overall championship.
Formato:
"I'm very happy. Fourth from seventh on the grid is good and we collected quite a few points today. We need to find some more pace if we are to qualify better and improve our chances of top three finishes."
Sipuka:
"Not a bad day under the circumstances. I enjoyed my two races and am happy to have scored some points. My car was much better today, but it's still right off the pace."
